The average cost for PRP injections is $1,075, but it can range between $800 and $3,000. Your final price depends on your provider’s location, credentials, type of treatment, and the extent of the treatment plan. PRP injections are not typically covered by insurance.
What PRP Treatments are Offered at RenewMD?
At Renew MD, we provide two treatments utilizing the power of PRP: vampire facials and injections for hair loss.
During a vampire facial, we remove a small amount of blood and spin it in a centrifuge to separate the red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelet-rich plasma. Once it is prepared, we spread the PRP over your face and begin your microneedling treatment. At Renew MD, we use Venus VIVA for our microneedling treatments. The treatment typically lasts 60 minutes.
During PRP injections for hair loss, we draw the blood and spin it in a centrifuge, similar to the vampire facial. Our providers inject the prepared PRP into your desired area. Most require up to four sessions with annual maintenance treatment and see a 30-40% hair density increase.
How Long Do My Injections last?
For vampire facials, most people’s results last between 1-2 years depending on their at-home care, while hair loss treatment require annual maintenance. To maximize your results, we recommend:
- Avoiding showering for six hours after your injection
- No makeup, lotions, or creams on the injection site for six hours
- Avoid rigorous activities for three days
- Avoid direct sun exposure for three days
- Avoid drinking alcohol or smoking for three days
- Avoid wearing hats
