How Much are PRP Injections?
Your body contains natural healing factors to rejuvenate your skin, hair, and muscles. Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) rejuvenates and heals your body from cuts, muscle injuries, and hair follicles. At Renew MD, we utilize your body’s natural resources to improve the condition of your skin and hair.
What is PRP?
Your blood contains multiple parts. During your visit, we separate the PRP from the red and white blood cells to create a concentration of PRP to maximize the effectiveness of the healing factors.
Platelet-rich plasma is the first responder to any injury you may sustain to help stop the bleeding. The plasma signals other healing factors and the immune system to begin the healing process, making PRP a powerful tool in facial, skin, and hair restoration. The injections speed up your recovery process and rejuvenate your skin and hair.
How Much are PRP Injections?
The average cost for PRP injections is $1,075, but it can range between $800 and $3,000. Your final price depends on your provider’s location, credentials, type of treatment, and the extent of the treatment plan. PRP injections are not typically covered by insurance.
What PRP Treatments are Offered at RenewMD?
During a vampire facial, we remove a small amount of blood and spin it in a centrifuge to separate the red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelet-rich plasma. Once it is prepared, we spread the PRP over your face and begin your microneedling treatment. At Renew MD, we use Venus VIVA for our microneedling treatments. The treatment typically lasts 60 minutes.
During PRP injections for hair loss, we draw the blood and spin it in a centrifuge, similar to the vampire facial. Our providers inject the prepared PRP into your desired area. Most require up to four sessions with annual maintenance treatment and see a 30-40% hair density increase.
How Long Do My Injections last?
For vampire facials, most people’s results last between 1-2 years depending on their at-home care, while hair loss treatment require annual maintenance. To maximize your results, we recommend:
- Avoiding showering for six hours after your injection
- No makeup, lotions, or creams on the injection site for six hours
- Avoid rigorous activities for three days
- Avoid direct sun exposure for three days
- Avoid drinking alcohol or smoking for three days
- Avoid wearing hats
Many of these activities slow healing and may inhibit the platelet’s ability to rejuvenate your skin and hair. To learn more about the benefits and how long your PRP treatment will last, schedule a consultation with Renew MD.
